
Retreat days
Introduction
Based at home and also in a range of different venues within Dorset, these days offer you the chance to meditate within a group setting for an extended period of time. Spending time away from the hurly burly of life can be very therapeutic.
These days always provide the opportunity to engage in some of the core practices of mindfulness as well as introduce you to some practices you may not have met before. The retreats may often focus on a particular theme for the day.
At the beginning and end of the day there will be an opportunity to share your experiences with one another and much of the day will be held in silence. Lunch is provided.
I encourage you to approach a retreat day with an open mind experiencing the day as it unfolds rather than looking for a ‘retreat experience’. The day provides you with an opportunity to deepen your practice.
Some experience of mindfulness is required to attend these events.
